We headed into Northern California to experience the majesty of the redwoods. Unfortunately, the first night we stayed in Humboldt Redwoods State Park, we managed to total the back window on the truck. [This was the last time we used those elastic bungy cords to strap our roof carrier onto the truck!]. As such we had to hurry out of the Park and head to Eureka for repairs.
We were very lucky to find an excellent glass shop in Eureka that would be able to have a replacement window ‘next day’ delivered from San Fran. We passed the time at the local KOA …
Once the rear window was repaired we had to satisfy ourselves with a flyby of the Redwoods National Park. Unfortunately the weather was poor so there were no opportunities for good photographs. We then raced north to catch up with our scheduled arrival at Crater Lake National Park.
