We made our way to Bryce Canyon National Park. We were lucky to camp in a perfect camping location right by the Rim trail system in the northern part of the canyon. We made the obligatory road tour and saw the standard sites, but some of the best views and enjoyable experience (read “no crowds”) were had hiking up the Rim trail into the least visited northern parts of the Park.

This is a view of the lower parts of Bryce taken from high on the Paunsaugunt plateau. The pink mesa seen at the top left is boat mesa which is recognisable anywhere in the park. In the far distance on the horizon in the centre is the Aquarius plateau whose tip is named Powell Point after the famous explorer. This feature dominates the landscape of the whole area!One of the most famous views at Bryce -- Inspiration Point in the heart of the canyon.
