After Dinosaur, we travelled north into Wyoming. We passed through the Flaming Gorge Area and I made a mental note to come back here to spend more time — very beautiful country. After two days travel, staying over night in Rock Springs, we arrived as Gros Ventre Campground. This is a massive campground but well appointed with some very nice camping sites. We spent a rainy several days here, doing side trips to Jackson Hole, taking several scenic drives along the Tetons and also up in to Yellowstone. This area is very busy with lots of people (doing some pretty stupid things), lots of traffic, any yet it is still spectacularly beautiful. Unfortunately, Yellowstone has been over-run. Too many people, not enough parking, so many ‘tourons’ that is is hard, for me — blood boiling in anger — to enjoy the visit.
