In June of 2018 we started a trip into Kentucky, Georgia and Tennessee. The theme was a combination of things: Caves, the Parthenon at Nashville, and Civil War Battlefields. We loaded up the van with our camping gear and headed off by way of the the ‘southern’ route to Dayton, OH. That morning, we dallied at the National Museum of the Air Force, before we headed off to meet our party of the third part at Louisville International Airport in the afternoon. Once we had fully assembled we made our way to Mammoth Caves, over to the Cumberland Gap and down Chattanooga way, popped back up to Nashville, swung further west to Camden, TN and then headed back home by way of Louisville. Details to follow in the follow-up blogs…
